    Hi Dutchie
Jandal man from NZ here. We met in Gilgit at The Madina.

I’m back home now in the relatively boring ‘real’ world and I’ve just been drooling over your latest adventures. Well done, mate. I like the descriptive and interesting way you write.

I’m looking into cameras at the moment because mine’s a bit clapped out and was wondering what your’s is. You did tell me but I’ve forgotten.

Best of luck with the rest of your journey.

    Ken

      Hey Jandal Man!!!

Great hearing from you mate, thanks for the nice comments on my last piece! I’m not far off the “real” world myself you know 😂

I’m currently using an Fuji XT-1. Basically it’s a mirrorless camera, as opposed to the Canons and Nikons. Weather resistant casing, mine has taken a beating on this ride and she is still going strong.

The reason I went mirrorless is because it packs a little smaller then the DSLRs and looks a fraction less ominous. The most important bit you’re looking for is probably something with a good sensor.

The pocket guide is in process, so I will send you a copy when it’s finished.

Best of luck getting back on the road soon,

      Dutchie
